About This Yatra
The Shakti Peethas are the most sacred goddess shrines in Hinduism, each marking a spot where a part of Goddess Sati fell. South India has several major Shakti Peethas including Kanaka Durga at Vijayawada (Andhra), Indrakshi at Srilanka, and Meenakshi at Madurai.
