About Thirunelli Mahavishnu Temple
Nestled inside the Brahmagiri mountain forest in Wayanad, this ancient temple is called the Kashi of Kerala for ancestral rites. The Papanasini stream flowing from the hills is used for pitru tarpana (ancestral death rites). The unique granite pillared temple is surrounded by thick jungle.
