About Thirukurungudi Nambi Temple
One of the 108 Divya Desams at the foot of the Mahendragiri hills. The presiding deity Nambi is worshipped in five forms — each with separate shrines. This temple is associated with Nammazhwar and Thirumangai Azhwar who sang hymns here. The Sayana kolam (reclining posture) deity is unique and particularly beautiful.
