About Panniyannur Muthappan Temple
The second major Muthappan temple in North Kerala (after Parassinikkadavu), where the same tribal folk deity is worshipped. The Theyyam dance ritual is performed here as worship. The Muthappan deity is worshipped by all communities — Hindus, Muslims and Christians alike — and no one is turned away from this temple.
