About Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva Temple (Namakkal)

The only temple in South India where Vishnu is worshipped in the Hayagriva (horse-headed) form — the avatar of Vishnu who recovered the Vedas. Located at the base of the famous Namakkal rock fort, with a 24-foot Anjaneya (Hanuman) carved from a single rock inside the fort. Students and scholars worship Hayagriva for academic excellence.
