About Kaviyoor Mahadeva Temple

One of the oldest rock-cut temples in Kerala (8th century), carved from a massive laterite rock. The main shrine and a natural cave with ancient Brahmi inscriptions make this one of the most historically significant temples in the state. The Ganesha rock-cut sculpture here is also ancient and very powerful. Near Thiruvalla and Pathanamthitta.
