About Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple
One of the Pancha Krishna Kshetrams of Kerala, famous for the daily Palpayasam (sweet rice porridge) prasadam. According to legend, Krishna appeared as a sage, defeated the king at chess and demanded palpayasam for a grain of rice doubling each day on a chessboard — promising the prasadam until infinity.
