Achankovil Sastha Temple గురించి
One of the five sacred Sastha (Ayyappa) temples of Kerala, nestled in a dense forest by the Achankovil river. The deity here is a married form of Ayyappa (with Poorna and Pushkala) — unlike Sabarimala where Ayyappa is celibate. The Makara Vilakku (January) celebration here is as sacred as Sabarimala's. The river-forest setting is supremely peaceful.
